Journal Entries:   Objectives

Journal entries provide students with the opportunity to practice the following skills:
  1. Think critically about concepts and ideas presented in class.
  2. Evaluate one's knowledge and skills in the specific area.
  3. Apply and incorporate broad concepts to one's life in specific situations.
  4. Forecast one's future and predetermine appropriate action.
  5. Record commitments for growth and monitor their successful completion.  
  6. Create lifelong strategies & develop skills to improve one's life.
  7. Expand personal and interpersonal awareness, as a tool for personal growth.
  8. Reflect upon one's past, present, and future.
  9. Reflect upon habits which are counterproductive to success and create new strategies for academic and social success.
